Optimize the authorization of operating or maintenance work permits for the different operating sites of PETROPERU in a safe manner and within the framework of all applicable regulations.

CONTEXT OF THE PROBLEM

The authorization of work permits in PETROPERU is given by the approval of the authorized personnel. Today, it is a process supported 100% by physical mechanisms: standardized forms, signatures and seals, on-site observation, among others.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM

The company needs to issue operation and/or maintenance work permits. However, our current procedure, although it's standardized, is 100% supported by manual mechanisms and is very time consuming. For example, the following activities consume a lot of time: the control of authorized personnel, the collaborative filling of forms, verification of controls, interaction with third parties even for recurring tasks, where correlative numbers and other relevant information must be monitored, controled and recorded on paper sheets, which are then stored for a period of 10 years. Also, there is a large number of permits that are issued in some operating sites, as in the case of Talara. In this sense, we need a digital solution to optimize and enhance this process, complying with current regulations, but using enabling technologies that can make us more efficient in each step of the process. This way, we'll be able to mitigate the risks of a process supported 100% by manual mechanisms.

FREQUENCY OF THE PROBLEM

This problem is recurrent. Work permits are essential to have the authorization to carry out the work for each operation. Most of these works are considered high risk.

In the last 7 years, thousands of soles have been spent on the acquisition of Work Permits. Also, we've spent a lot of time on the issuance and control of these permits in site.
